At BCS Consulting we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all our Partners, and we are proud to be celebrating Pride once again this year.
A 2018 Stonewall report found that 35% of LGBT staff had hidden that they were LGBT at work for fear of discrimination, and one in five had experienced negative comments or conduct from colleagues in the last year because they are LGBT. Statistics like these show why Pride is as important now as it has ever been. It is vital that we raise awareness of LGBT+ issues, make all spaces safe and inclusive, and call out unacceptable behaviour if we see it.
As a Stonewall Diversity Champion we are constantly looking for ways to improve the working lives of our LGBT+ people. Following the completion of our first Stonewall Workplace Equality Index submission in 2019, we are focused on utilising the results to continue making positive changes and building on the successful foundations we have put in place.
