I have been part of the team here at BCS for almost five years now and I have always valued and appreciated the Company’s truly personal culture and the respect they show for Partners’ work-life balance.
This aspect of our culture really came to life for me recently when I returned to work as a new parent, having welcomed a baby into my family.
Before I went on shared parental leave, my Line Manager and I spent time together planning and talking through my objectives in detail. It really helped me to not only draw a line in the sand ahead of my leave, but also reassure me about what I would be returning to do.
The result was that I left for shared parental leave confident that, when I returned, I would be able to carry on where I left off. My career is very important to me and BCS have been hugely supportive in making sure I continue to take on projects and internal roles that align with my aspirations and ambitions as a consultant.
Life can be unpredictable, and I am grateful to the whole of the BCS team who are there to support me as and when I need it (and swoon over cute baby photos of course!). Now more than ever before, I also appreciate the value of building a trusting relationship with my clients who know I am committed to doing an excellent job.
