One of the largest banking and financial services institutions in the world engaged our team to support a global Section 166 remediation programme
The Brief
The Bank, which had recently conducted two Section 166 reports, required key findings to be addressed. Our team quickly took ownership of the comprehensive traceability exercise and built a model to capture and analyse mappings between milestones and the findings from two reports.
The Solution
To ensure effective remediation, we engaged relevant senior stakeholders in the traceability process from the outset. A clear process was then followed to bring structure, control and confidence to traceability between report findings and programme area milestones.
In order to structure the mapping, findings from the Section 166 reports were scoped and plans were baselined. From this stable position, our team then mapped milestones to report findings by engaging and agreeing traceability with all relevant stakeholders to ensure they recognised and owned traceability mappings going forward. Continued analyses and MI creation allowed for progress, report coverage and any gaps to be tracked.
The Results
Our client was able to respond to the regulator with confidence, in the knowledge that a comprehensive and detailed traceability model was built, embedded and maintained through their organisation.
