Leading A Payments Technology Workstream
Working for a leading UK corporate bank, we led a large and complex technology workstream for a Global Cash Management roll out programme.
Our client aimed to insource the clearing of high value $US payments while rolling out a new Global Corporate Banking Cash Management business, created around UK systems and processes.
The most complex area, Payments, required the contract resource to be replaced and we were asked to lead the worksteam through the analysis, design, build and early test phases of the project, ensuring it aligned closely to the bank’s Payment Technology.
Providing overall leadership for the Payments Technology workstream, we put together detailed and accurate end-to-end plans, forecasts, and financials for the project. We also engaged with each payments system and supplier and maintained clear and open channels of communication between Payments and the wider programme. Our final goal was to recruit and handover the project to a permanent in-house Payments Workstream Delivery Manager.
By taking a proactive approach to engaging the bank’s Head of Payments Technology, we made sure this project remained at the top of the bank’s Payment Delivery agenda. Our robust delivery plans also meant that new systems were delivered on time and in a fully functioning state to handover to the in-house team.
